Mid-Year Cabaret
Our Mid-Year Cabaret style performance is to provide stage experience and presentation of exam standards and competition troupe routines. Students are given the opportunity to showcase their technical work and perform while parents and families of the CBDS community are entertained in a relaxed and friendly environment.

RAD & CSTD Examinations
The Syllabi we use for training our dancers is Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in classical ballet and The Commonwealth Society for Teachers of Dancing (Comdance / CSTD) in tap and modern theatrical jazz. These form the basis for dance education at CBDS. Whilst not compulsory, undertaking of examinations and Awards is encouraged as they are an excellent method for students to monitor their technical progress.
End-of-Year Concert
The annual CBDS November Production is our major performance opportunity for the year featuring high quality choreography and fantastic costumes in a professional theatre environment. The EOYP is where CBDS dancers have a wonderful experience showcasing their skills and the results of dedicated training to their family and friends!
Corporate & Community Performances
From fundraising Galas to major events, the CBDS dancers frequently perform for audiences in prestigious venues around SA. Performances have included the SA Dance Festival, Heart Kids SA, Tiny Tickers Ball, RT Cruise For Kids, Little Heroes Foundation, and the inaugural Adelaide's Longest Lunch for the opening of the River Torrens Bridge.
Christmas Pageant
It has been a long family tradition for CBDS to take part in the Adelaide Christmas Pageant. Interested students from age 12+ are invited to audition for the CBDS Pageant team at the beginning of Semester 2. Dancers will gain fond memories from this exciting event and be seen by the South Australian community dancing in the streets of Adelaide.
Dance Competitions
Students wishing to challenge their technical and performance skills are invited to undertake private tuition to learn specialty routines and enter various dance competitions held throughout the year. Selected troupes are also entered into competitions.
